Papulankutja Artists was born in 2003 and a year later registered as an Aboriginal Corporation with the members governing the art centre. After five year struggling to find a home Papulankutja Artists moved into a purpose built art centre in 2009. The art centre also works with artists in Mantamaru (Jameson), a community 75kms to the west. Papulankutja Artists is a community-based, not-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation governed by a committee of elected members.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eElaine Wanatjura Lane was a bush baby, born in 1940 in the traditional way, close to a rock hole. She is a senior artist from the Papulankutja (Blackstone) community who paints with Warakurna Artists through the Wanarn Tjilpi and Pampa Painting Program.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHer paintings are vibrant and diverse, reflecting her unique style and connection to country. Elaine draws from the Ngaanyatjarra lands of Papulankutja country, depicting sacred sites and natural landscapes.
